Female Film Showcase - 2023/07/04 13:39 Birds Eye View Summer Tour

A programme of short films made by women, is coming to screens across London, Cambridge Film Festival and music festivals, including Big Chill and Bestival, this summer.

Film is the most powerful medium in the world, but only 7% of directors are women. Birds Eye View brings you the new generation of talent from across the globe.

This summer Birds Eye View is touring a spectacular programme of diverse and innovative short films, which were originally screened as part of the sold out 2006 Birds Eye View Film Festival event, the International Women's Day Gala.

The short film programme, featuring the Oscar nominated animation, Badgered, the controversial film Susie (winner of the Jameson Short Film Award), best short drama nomination Holiday directed by writer of Michael Winterbottom’s Wonderland, and other films made by women from across the globe, will be appearing at music festivals, special events around London and at the Cambridge Film Festival
