The UK Resource Centre (UKRC) is designing a package of support services to assist qualified or experienced women who want to return to a career in SET or the built environment. The new package is due to be launched in April 2005.

Initial services will include:
 Information and referral services
 Online refresher and action-planning module delivered in the UK by the Open University
 Access to mentoring and networking support
 Links to regional activity and resources in pilot English regions and in Wales
 Access to employers with a positive interest in recruiting returners
 Funding for new small scale projects
 Research and recommendations to employers and policy-makers on changes needed including the promotion of part-time and flexible work opportunities

Women interested in the programme should contact the UKRC. The UKRC would also like to hear from women who have returned to SET and are interested in becoming a role model or mentor and those thinking about taking a career break. We would also like to hear from other organisations that specialise in re-entry training and employers who are interested in working with the UKRC, either to share best practice, or improve recruitment and retention by drawing on the experience and talent of SET women returners.
