Employment is at an all time high and unemployment at its lowest level for decades, a dramatic change from 1997 when the current welfare to work policies were first introduced. The 2004 Welfare to Work Convention comes at a critical time for how welfare to work priorities and programmes are to evolve for the future.

The Welfare to Work Convention 2004 will reflect challenges and priorities and the need to share what works. It is designed for everyone involved in delivering welfare to work initiatives. As the largest welfare to work event of the year almost 1,000 delegates will gather to learn, share ideas for improving deliver, and gain knowledge about national developments and future thinking.
